Origin Part 1

Muschi was born in the Germany city of Moringen on January 31st 1943. A long haired cat, she was the prize of Marie Heissmeyer. Kagakusha’s owners were responsible for the brutal experiments on children in Nazi Germany. When she was barely six weeks old when her owners departed for Japan to work with Unit 731 under their operations commander, Masaru.

A month later, the Allied powers launched Operation Flax, cutting them off from ever returning to Germany.

They continued their research with unit 731, experimenting on prisoners from China and America. She was allowed free roam of the lab, and saw cruel and inhumane things that made playing with a mouse seem nice. She was afraid of the noise at first. Then eventually started to ignore the tortured screams of prisoners of war.

Their work remained unabated until America bombed Hiroshima. Within hours, the Heissmeyer’s abandoned everything they owned, including Muschi. The Heissmeyer’s attempted to flee by boat, but ran straight into a US Naval blockade. Their boat was confronted by the US Navy and fired upon when they didn’t stop. One of the volleys obliterated Horst instantly; Marie did not fare so well. She lost a limb and drowned.

Muschi was locked inside a torture facility with dying prisoners. Three days later while she was digging for scraps of food, her life changed forever… a bright flash. A heat she will never forget. When she awoke, she was naked in the rubble of lab she once prowled.
